Bed and Breakfast 'Aan de Oude IJssel'

Our house and garden are situated at the end of a small road next to the lovely river 'de oude IJssel'. From the livingroom and one of the guestrooms, you have an amazing view on the river and the preserved natural area next to it. When the weather is good, our guests are welcome to enjoy the peace and nature on our patio terraces along the river, which is also a perfect place to spot various uncommon birds. At the end of the day, the sunset, coloring the horizon and river red, is delightfull. Even during the darker days, it's nice to watch the dark sky and clouds sitting in your chair inside. When it's too cold or wet to have breakfast outside, you can still enjoy the view, from our gardenhouse at the riverside or from our dining table in the livingroom. In the afternoon you are welcome to have a drink. We offer coffee, tea or another drink you prefer. Our daughter Linde will gladly make you a nice cocktail. The books on our shelves are free to use as well as the piano. The livingroom is rather big with several places to sit down. For the guests, we have two rooms available, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. These rooms are on the first floor. If it's wanted, we have room for two other guests. There is a shared bathroom with bath, seperate shower, sink and toilet. Doesburg is situated, on the border of the Veluwe and the Achterhoek, next to 'de Gelderse IJssel' and 'de Oude IJssel'. Which provide a large variety of nature with many scenic routes to bike, walk or drive. The town contents a huge amount of old and new art and culture. The historic centre (with a preserved cityview), has medieval streets and buildings with many monuments. Doesburg has many galeries, artist studios, antiquairian and small shops. Information about several festivals and cultural events can be found at the tourist information centre.
